11-18 Fish are now entering the river. The river is at 100cfs. The reservoir is low because of our recent drought. We did get some rain and the nights have been getting cooler. There are going to be more fish this year than ever due to natural spawning. People are catching fish but most of the bigger amounts are low river. It should be any day now. Let you know more soon.-----Stoney

Well, the river is still high. When you call the hotline (1-800-452-1742, ext:365123) they said it was supposed to drop last tuesday, but we all knew that would not happen with this rain. They are still getting fish, but few people are working for them. The river is at 1800cfs. with run off. ANYWAY, here are some more pics.  ----FISH-ON><)))((*>---Stoney

Fish are still in but the water is high for the salmon river (1800 cfs). The few people that are here are fishing the small creeks and still catching fish and some are fresh that still have tight eggs (skein). We recently had a Halloween party called "Stoneys' Halloween Ho-Down". Besides the super high winds and rain we got through it OK. We had a bunch of bands and a pig roast and now it is just clean up at the campground. ANYWAY, LOL, here are the pictures.----FISH-ON---><)))((*>---Stoney

It rained last night and the Kings are starting to run. Last week for three days the Coho's ran like crazy and then on Thursday most of them made it to the hatchery the next day. Fishing has been hit and miss most of the week but the Kings are on their way up and it is picking right up now. Some upper holes are doing well also. Got to go.------FISH-ON------><))),((*>---Stoney

Those coho's blew through and went straight to the hatchery. I have cut up a few Kings and I am hoping by next weekend that there will be a nice run of kings. People right now are finding pods of fish here and there. The estuary is loaded and they are just waiting for a trigger (rain, cold weather). The fish are definitely in the lake and the estuary, so there is no doubt it is about to happen. The hot summer we have had is the reason these fish are running later than usual. Talk soon.------FISH-ON----    ><)))((*>---Stoney

THERE ARE FISH IN THE RIVER!!!!!!  Coho's galore. There are more coho than ever or at least in quite a few years. There are also a nice number of brown trout that came in with them. I talked to 2 different fishermen that claimed they hooked over 40-50 fish and they were all coho. The hatchery is full of coho also. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday fish came up douglaston pretty hard. The water is low (half gate) and I haven't heard any complaints at all about the fishing. The lake is getting Kings in 10 feet of water since the lake flipped and the surface temp went to 45 degrees. Here is Jason with 2 nice coho and a huge Browntrout.  Talk soon. ----FISH-ON------><)))((*>---Stoney

Salmon are not in the river yet. They have been running the water in July and some of august to lower the upper reservoir so they can work on the dam for salmon season. There are lots of fish in the lake but the water is too warm at the moment to make the fish run. It should be soon though. A few weeks. It should be a run like 1998, where there were tons of fish and low water. I did make my way down back a few days ago and we hooked a 10.5 lb. skamania steelhead and an 8.5 lb. brown trout and a 4 lb. bass. The only place to fish right now are the holes. Should be a great season.----FISH-ON---><))),((*>---Stoney
