FISH ARE EVERYWHERE!!!!!! 2 days ago there were 25 steelhead on stringers at the black hole. Lots of steelies!!! I talked to someone today and he said he hooked 7 steelies today and his friend hooked 2.  Lots of Kings. Some fresh, some dropping eggs. NOW IS THE TIME FOR ALL GOOD FISHERMEN TO COME UP AND FISH. South Sandy had a nice run of really fresh kings. Orwell is producing some old looking fish right now, probably because these fish were waiting all season to come up orwell and the recent rains finally brought them in. I have lots of pictures to show you. I will try tomorrow. Don't worry Arizona Ed, the pictures are coming. People are making major number of hook ups with these fish. The river is on fire. There are many thousands of fish in the estuary. When they move they make waves. Fish have been coming into Douglaston this week in droves. Many big runs. We are cutting up a bunch of fish, mostly Cohos. Kings and steelies too. fish are still being caught on the lake. got to go clean fish. --------FISH-ON><)))((*>---Stoney

Fishing has slowed down a little because the fish that are in have spread out through the river.  We are still cleaning them on a steady basis but the bulk of the run have not even thought of coming in yet.  They are still getting them on the lake also.  Down back people are still getting some. THE FISH ARE IN!!!!! I heard 3 thousand fish came up Douglaston yesterday in the day and mostly Coho's! People were telling me they had a ton of hook ups. We had rain last night and it started raining mid-day here and it poured for a while and it is supposed to stop raining around midnight tonight. The weekend looks great for weather and fishing. A nice number of steelhead and some browns are following the salmon. Today the Trestle pool had nice numbers and I can only imagine that this rain will bring in a whole bunch more fish. I went down back last night and saw a bunch of fish coming up. I also went to town yesterday and we saw a bunch of fish in the black hole. It's starting to happen. Fishing should be awesome by this weekend. I can feel it in me bones. With the low water, I predict the fish will be pushed on the shore from the quicker ones behind them especially with the rain they say is going to happen. The water is still low. Fish are in the sportsman's hole and the trestle pool and in town. Fishing is slow but picking up. Lots of fish came up but some holes do not have many fish. They say we might get some rain this week.---weather---We have been seeing some nice coho's in the station. We got in a nice 18 lb. skamania steelhead some brown's and some more steelhead.  19-18-07 Fish are now entering the river. The river is at 100cfs. The reservoir is low because of our recent drought. We did get some rain and the nights have been getting cooler. There are going to be more fish this year than ever due to natural spawning. People are catching fish but most of the bigger amounts are low river. It should be any day now.
