Snow is on the ground. Steelies are in the river. Not cutting up much fish right now. Winterizing campground. Leaving some of my lodges open, full hook up sites and one bathroom house for now. For reduced rates on lodging call 1-315-298-2325. River is at 350cfs. Lots of people are using beads.

This is an old report. Had trouble publishing it.—

Well, the big run happened on a thursday right after Columbus day weekend. Meanwhile Steelhead have been entering the river in Big numbers. Then we had another run of Kings and Coho’s, domestic Rainbows and some Browns. The small vreeks have been producing Kings and Coho’s. Nice colors. Not many fishermen!! Weather has been pretty good so far.

We have a cabin for up to 6 people open for this weekend with a bathroom!!

Fish are finally coming in, in numbers. The Big Run has finally started!!! Large numbers of steelhead are here and still pouring in the river!!! Beautiful domestic rainbows and some Browns are here too. Better late than never, I guess? We had some rain. Fish are coming in the station.

We had a really bad past winter which set these fish back in time a month. We also had a hot summer which made the river too warm for them to even think of running because the lake was cooler than the river. The flood of 2010 may have killed the early eggs, which may be why we never had a decent early run? This year was the perfect storm for a F/U season. If you can make it for fishing, now is the time.

Fish are starting to come up the river. People are seeing some cohos. The weather has been getting colder and it won’t be long before monster runs start to come in. Talk Soon.– Fish On —Stoney
